It is a stabilized, cyanide-free, and microfiltered lysing solution used to lyse (destroy) red blood cells (RBCs) and liberate hemoglobin, allowing for the quantitative determination of white blood cells (WBCs), leukocyte differentials (LYM, MID, GRAN), and hemoglobin (HGB) concentration.
